Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT)

The Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) is a fee-based, standardized offline test for undergrad college admissions in the US. The SAT covers writing, reading, and Mathematics. SAT scores range from 400 to 1600, with each of the two sections—Evidence-based Reading & Writing and Mathematics—worth up to 800 points.

Despite numerous changes in the US university application process, some facts remain the same; For example, you need to ace your SAT examinations if you plan to attend a leading university. More than 30 universities in India and many others across the world are now accepting SAT scores for entrance. It measures the ability of candidates to solve problems and use reasoning skills at the level necessary for US universities. SAT examination is conducted 5 times a year in India.

Most colleges and universities use the SAT as one indicator of a student's readiness to undergo university-level education. Other criteria include class rank, marks (Grade Point Average), extracurricular activities, personal essays, and recommendation.

Singapore International School is a center for SAT examination since 2009. The center is open to all students throughout India.
