SIS Merit Scholarship

To apply for SIS Merit Scholarship you should submit the SIS Scholarship Application form. We appreciate your taking time to complete the application fully and accurately. We also want to assure you that we carefully consider, in its entirety, every application that is submitted to us.

The Guidelines for SIS Merit Scholarship are:

This form should be filled out only by students who are currently attending Singapore International School or have just secured admission to Singapore International School.

Application deadline: Only forms which have been completed and submitted online by 21st September, of each academic year will be considered for the scholarship for the current academic year.

Number: Eleven Scholarships are offered. Five are offered for SIS students who have completed Grade 10 and Six for students entering SIS from other schools after completion of Grade 10.

Nature: Scholarships are offered which remit up to the first 50% or up to 25 % of the tuition fee for 1 year of the IBDP program. Based on the students consistent performance these scholarships may be extended for the second year of the IBDP. Only students who have received the scholarship in the first year will be eligible for the second year scholarship by successfully maintaining the criteria for continuation of the scholarship.

Eligibility: Students who have completed Grade 10 at SIS or at other schools offering international and national curriculum who wish to study for the IB Diploma Programme at SIS in Grades 11 and 12.are eligible to apply for the scholarship.

For 50 % tuition fees scholarship in year 1 and 2 Students applying for the scholarship should have secured an aggregate of 95% or higher in all final board examinations for national curriculum after Grade 10. IGCSE students will qualify only if they have done ICE and achieve 8 A*, with marks not less than A in all other subjects registered.

To continue receiving the scholarship in the second year of IB, these students should have a score of at least 40/42 in both the terms of year 11.

To avail this scholarship for the second year, students should complete the application form and apply online by 10th of August of the second year.

Students applying for the scholarship should demonstrate that they have earned distinctions in sports, games, co-curricular activities and/or other intramural, interscholastic or extracurricular competitions at state, national, or international levels.

To continue receiving the scholarship in the second year of IB, these students should have a score of at least 40/42 in both the terms of year 11.
